Dual Diagnosis Treatment Centerprogram highlights

The treatment program at Hope and Serenity will differ from each individual that is involved in the rehabilitation process. There are different phases of addiction ranging from borderline abuse of a substance all the way up to having progressed into a chronic, almost fatal condition.

Dual Diagnosis Treatment for Co-Occuring Disorders

In addition to treating individuals who suffer from alcoholism and drug addiction, we also specialize in the treatment of dual-diagnosis individuals, which can also be referred to as a co-occurring disorder. Often times drug addiction or alcoholism and any number of different emotional or psychiatric problems can occur in one individual. Our treatment program is able to treat these co-occurring disorders by beginning with an accurate evaluation and consultation following a professional, medically supervised detoxification process. Once the evaluation is completed we are able to create a treatment program that will address each individual’s needs instead of placing him or her into a “cookie cutter” type program that is far less efficient.

Drug Rehab Center

Our main purpose is to ensure that both the substance abuse problems as well as any other psychiatric or emotional problems are addressed and that each individual in our treatment program has a strong beginning in recovery. We are dedicated to using the 12-step model for recovery in our drug rehab center because it has proven to work for countless individuals suffering from addiction and/or other disorders.

After the initial drug & alcohol detox program and evaluation is completed we familiarize all of our clients with the twelve steps and utilize the principles and values found within them to help them learn new skills for living sober. Individuals learn how to be accountable for their behaviors both past and present and start to work the twelve steps of recovery in a group setting and in one-on-one therapy sessions. Additionally they attend twelve step meetings daily and find a sponsor (someone with more experience in the twelve step program) and build a foundation from which they can build once they have completed our treatment program.
